This is an example of a trial homepage. The Demo Trial is an imaginary trial of a new drug, Demopramil, versus placebo for treatment of asthma.

All adult patients (age >18 years) without hypertension are eligible for the trial. Patients giving informed consent will be randomized to either "A" or "B". GPs will dispense the trial drug, giving either packet A or packet B depending on the random allocation.

You can try out the randomization process for yourself to see how it works. You can also access the supervisor features or download the randomization database. Just click on the link to the top-right to log-in.

Normally the passwords to log-in are highly confidential to strictly control who can randomize patients or download the randomization database. In this demonstration, though, you can use the following log-in information to access the different features:

> Inclusion Criteria

  1. Patients with a documented history of asthma
  2. Aged > 18 years
  3. SBP < 200mmHg
  4. Must have given signed, informed consent

> Patient Exclusions

  1. Short life expectancy (<6m)
  2. Patients taking ß-blockers

> Follow-up

  1. Following randomization patients will be asked to return to the GP surgery one week later
  2. Patients will be asked to complete and post weekly diary cards noting signs and symptoms
  3. A final follow-up appointment at the GP's surgery will be scheduled for 6 months after randomization
