  • The CRF builder has been significantly updated and is now accessible from the designs page in Access. Changes to the CRF builder include:
    • Checkboxes, inclusion and exclusion field types added
    • Rich text labels are supported to allow bold, italic, colour, links etc. Explanation type fields have more options including lists, text alignment and font size.
    • The subject identifier field can be automatically generated in various formats
    • Date validation rules can have an offset to allow (for instance) a date of birth field to validate age > 18.
    • Support for no/any value in pop-up message, skip if and required if rules
  • Viewing encrypted PII fields are now restricted to roles with the PII permission
  • A ‘reset’ link is now shown for all radio buttons in CRF forms
  • Support for hybrid unblinded/blinded trials. Standard user accounts for an unblinded randomisation system have a new ‘unblinded’ permission. Roles without this permission will not be able to see the treatment group.
  • Downloads now include non-CRF tables (such as kit assignments, queries and sites). The data dictionary can be downloaded in CSV format.
  • CRF form versioning has changed:
    • When adding a form in the CRF the most recent version is always used
    • If the Allow obsolete forms setting is on, users can select an older form version when adding a form
    • When editing an existing form the version is the same as when the form was added
    • If the Allow form upgrade setting is on, it is possible to upgrade an existing form to the latest version
  • The patient schedule shows an orange tile on the green indicator (form complete) to indicate a newer version of the form exists
  • Changes in repeating sections are now highlighted when viewing form history
  • Fields are now hidden when skipped. Sections containing only skipped fields are hidden too.
  • Randomisation notification emails now include the subject identifier in the subject line. Randomisation number has been removed from the email bodies.
